Can Never Get Enough of Lindsay Ell

Lindsay Ell can do it all - she is an incredible vocalist, songwriter and she is an established musician who can play the guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and piano.

Her musical journey has taken her on tour with Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, The Band Perry, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, and Keith Urban! Last year she released "The Project," her first full album and it debuted at No. 1 on the Country Album Sales Chart. Her latest single, “Criminal,” is currently in the Top 20, and still rising! Check out “What Is The Project?” where Lindsay dives into what her album is all about.

Lindsay performed during Live In The Vineyard last November, where she entertained our guests, showcasing her brilliant riffs and infectious personality. This year she will close out the Live In The Vineyard Goes Country week, and we can’t wait to get another dose of this powerful singer-songwriter.

Old Dominion is Full of Charm, Lyrical Wit and Rock n' Roll Grit

You want a great case study about drive and determination to make it in the music business? See Old Dominion

These five fellas struggled for more than two decades before finally finding commercial success in 2015 with their first album ”Meat and Candy," featuring songs “Song For Another Time” and “Break Up with Him,” and they've owned the charts ever since. The best part? They top the charts not just with their own band, but also writing hits songs for other country artists like Keith Urban, The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and many more.

We’ve been successful for a few years, but we were non-successful for 23. ~ Brad Tursi

In 2016 the band was won the "New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year" and the "Breakthrough Group / Duo of the Year" and was just named "2017 Vocal Group of the Year" at the Academy of Country Music Awards. They were also nominated for the Album of the Year award for their second album, Happy Endings, featuring “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart” and “Written in the Sand.”

We are thrilled for their well-earned success, and cannot wait to see them take the stage to kick off Live In The Vineyard Goes Country. If you are one of the lucky few who will be there, get ready for a rocking show! For everyone else, make sure to follow our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds as well as our official hashtag (#LITVGoesCountry) as we'll be sharing photos and videos of their performance! Something tells me they are going to get all of our heart that heart.

Packing for Napa: Put These Things in Your Suitcase

The countdown to Live In The Vineyard Goes Country is on (less than a week!!) and you’re probably starting to think about what to pack. Luckily, this isn’t our first rodeo and we have packing for this trip down to a T. Here are our suggestions:

  • The dress code for #LITVGoesCountry is country club casual / California casual. For women, this means sundresses, nice t-shirts/ blouses and jeans. For men, this means shorts or jeans and a button up.

  • Cowboy and cowgirl boots are highly encouraged!

  • Bring a light jacket as while the days will be nice and toasty, the nights can get chilly

  • Bring comfortable walking shoes

  • Many of our events are outdoors, so don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and hat (cowboy or floppy rimmed to protect your face!)! Also please be aware that we have bales of hay at the if you’re allergic, bring your allergy medicine!

  • Don’t be that girl (or guy) that rolls in with 3 suitcases. It’s only 3 days… [but let’s be real, we’ve all been there]. With that said, we encourage you to leave a little room in your bag to allow for anything you might pick up while in Napa.

  • Bring your camera, your phone and a spare battery if you have it! We want to see your photos too so don’t forget to tag us: @liveinthevineyard on Instagram and @liveinvineyard on Twitter. Make sure to also use our hashtag #LITVGoesCountry!

We look forward to soaking up some sun rays and hearing a lot of incredible music with y'all! We cannot wait to see how you do country! See you in Napa!

Look at this weather map -- to Californians, this is called "perfection."

We Need Maggie Rose Forevermore

Versatile singer and songwriter Maggie Rose has a love of finely-crafted melodies and intricate storytelling, and trust me - we are all better for it.

In 2009, she released a cover of King of Leon’s single “Use Somebody,” which was turned into a music video airing on Country Music Television. Nearly 2 years later, Rose came out with her digital EP, Maybe Tonight, debuting at No. 1 on Great American Country's Top 20 Country Countdown videos.

Some of her other early accomplishments include recording vocals for Disney Channel shows, collaborating with Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic to write "Get Ya Game On," and signing with RPM Entertainment to produce her album Cut to Impress. She has also been named as one of CMT's Next Women of Country.

Maggie's music is a wonderful combination of country-lyric storytelling, finely crafted pop production, and the feel-good groove of R&B. She recently released hits “It’s You,” “Just Getting By,” and “Pull You Through,” all of which, you need to listen to immediately -- and better yet, buy them now! Don't believe us? Rolling Stone Country calls "It's You" "a giant, throwback soul ballad that shows off her dynamic vocals [and] contains shades of Aretha Franklin," and "Smooth" "a supremely funky rocker with hints of Grace Potter, Janis Joplin". No joke.

Maggie expects to drop a new album this fall, so we are hoping to catch some of her new music when she performs at Live In The Vineyard Goes Country, which is less than a week away! Yeah!

Eric Paslay Builds Homes and Country Hits

Eric Paslay is a great performer, an incredible vocalist and he sure knows how to pen a hit song. Five of his have reached No. 1 on the charts and we are pretty sure you know every word to them:

  • “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” (Eli Young Band)
  • “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” (Jake Owen)
  • “Angel Eyes” (Love & Theft)
  • “Rewind” (Rascal Flatts)

The smash “Friday Night," was his first No. 1 as an artist, and he can be sure that we will "rock together" when he hits the stage with Maddie & Tae, Cale Dodds, and Jerrod Niemann at Live in the Vineyard in a couple of weeks.

Eric has graced our stage before. Here he is last November when he played alongside Hunter Hayes, Dave Barnes and Temecula Road for an Artist in the Round.

His latest single, “Young Forever," was partly inspired by Kelsea Ballerini and it takes you right back to your Peter Pan days where you used to sing along to “Never Grow Up.”

I hope when people are 100 years old, they go skydiving. I think this year I realized that nobody’s old ... One hundred years isn’t that long if you’re lucky enough to get there.
— Eric Paslay

Not only does Paslay enjoy creating songs, but he also has a soft spot for helping the community. He supported Habitat For Humanity in launching a campaign called “Home is the Key,” building homes so more families have access to decent housing. Just last week, Paslay handed the keys of newly built homes to two single mothers. Read more about it here.

I love building things, from songs to houses. It’s a lot of fun, and both of those things are rewarding.
— Eric Paslay

This summer Eric hits the road, so be sure to check out his tour dates to see when he’s coming to a venue near you!
